Food safety

We make no compromises when it comes to food safety and therefore our management system is certified by “BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials”.
This standard by British Retail Consortium (BRC) is a globally consistent standard for management systems of food safety, especially valid for suppliers of packaging and packaging materials and recognized by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative).

For example, the following points are covered by management system BRC:

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

  • Principles of the risk assessment system and the critical control points, based on the „Codex Alimentarius“.
  • Preventive programmes (PRP = prerequisite programs)
These are the basic prerequisites and actions which are necessary for the manufacture, treatment and preparation of safe food products. In particular, the implementation of preventative programmes serves to minimise the risks for food products.
  • Entire supply chain
All of our suppliers, which are part of the supply chain for food production, are included.
  • Validation and verification
The standard places particular value on documentation and verification, so that all of the measures necessary for food safety are correctly planned, applied and completely evaluated for efficacy. This assures that that the management system is updated.
  • Extensive documented QM system
All processes and tests are controlled by the management system.
  • Hygiene
Control of hygienic conditions related to product and processes as well as to the staff.

Label compliance:

As a matter of principle, materials for labels manufactured for use with food products or in the food industry are selected by taking the intended subsequent purpose into consideration.

You will receive the appropriate declaration of conformity from us with your tea tags and tea envelopes.

For other products, we can have inspections conducted by well-known testing institutes in order to, for example, have special requirements certified in regards to food suitability.
