140 years on the market - the specialist for tea tags and tea envelopes
Founded in 1884 in Esslingen am Neckar near Stuttgart, Kölle Etiketten still produces a wide variety of labels today. At the end of the 1960s, Kölle Etiketten began producing flexible packaging, including tea tags and tea envelopes. As a specialist in this segment, the company is now very well known both nationally and internationally.
Now in its 4th generation, Philipp Kölle has continued to orientate the company for the future. Kölle Etiketten should continue to grow on the market in the spirit of the Kölle family. The POSSEHL Group, based in Lübeck, is found to be a suitable new owner and strong parent company. Since January 2023, Kölle Etiketten has been part of PID (POSSEHL Identification Solutions), the identification solutions division of the POSSEHL Group. PID includes companies involved in labelling technology (hardware), label software and label production (consumables). The label manufacturing companies within PID are organised under the umbrella of the Nordvalls Label Group.
Kölle Etiketten employs around 35 people at the Esslingen am Neckar site in Germany. The annual turnover in 2023 was around 10 million euros.
NORDVALLS
Nordvalls is Scandinavia's leading label supplier with over 100 years of experience in label printing. Nordvalls prints and produces self-adhesive labels and a wide range of labelling solutions. The product portfolio includes all types of self-adhesive labels - from simple information labels to highly refined decorative labels - as well as tickets & tags, multi-sheet labels, security labels with variable codes, in-mould labels and other packaging materials. The main customer sectors are pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, logistics and transport, chemical technology and cosmetics, wood, paper and paper pulp as well as industry.
Nordvalls employs around 170 people at its production sites in Sjöbo, Bjuv, Nässjö and Mölnlycke, Sweden. Annual turnover in 2022 (incl. The Watermill Press, UK) was approx. 66 million euros.
Part of the Nordvalls Label Group are the labelling experts Kölle Etiketten from Germany, Watermill from the UK and Lexit Labels from Norway.

POSSEHL Identification Solutions - PID for short - is part of the internationally active POSSEHL Group from Lübeck.
POSSEHL Identification Solutions bundles the activities of the POSSEHL Group in the area of print & apply and labelling systems and invests in small and medium-sized companies in this sector. PID was founded in 2017 and sees itself as a long-term investor without a short-term sales strategy or leveraged buyouts.

The name Possehl has stood for medium-sized entrepreneurship for over 175 years. The company was founded in 1847 by Ludwig Possehl as a hardware store in Lübeck.
