Kölle Etiketten introduces itself!

Kölle Etiketten is the expert for adhesive labels of all types for the most varied industries as well as for flexible packaging in the food industry (such as teas).

Kölle Etiketten is a medium-sized company whose roots go back to the founding year 1884. The company was owner-managed by the Kölle family for 4 generations until the end of 2022. Since January 2023, Kölle Etiketten has been part of PID (Possehl Identification Solutions).

We are an innovative company and are continually developing so that we can completely meet the changing needs of our customers.

In addition to standard adhesive labels, we also offer individual labelling solutions for your area of application and can gladly advise you.

 

We offer the following products under flexible packaging:
tea tags (also called: tea bag labels, tea bag tags/tags with strings for tea bags), tea tags with cold seal adhesive or heat seal coating, punched tea tags, tea envelopes, seal edge sachets, banderoles or similar products which commonly consist of paper or a composite material.

We cover the requirements for food safety, quality and environment with our three TÜV certificates BRC Packaging, ISO9001 and ISO14001.

Quality

Our quality policy determines our thinking and actions in regards to the end quality of our products and services.

This quality policy is embedded in our management system under ISO BRC Packaging and ISO 9001 and the environmentally relevant topics under
ISO 14001.

The management system is applied to all products, product categories and processes at Kölle Etiketten.

Services

We print using a water-based colour system which has been approved for the food industry and even certified for use with tea products. In addition, we use low migration UV inks for flexo and book printing. The various printing processes and inks are utilised depending on product and application purpose.

 

Very different materials are utilised:

  • For adhesive labels:
    Adhesive papers of all possible types, including matt, gloss and high gloss, to pharmaceutical materials, paper for wine bottles or for direct food contact.
  • Foils for adhesive labels:
    PE (Polyethylene), PP (Polypropylene), PET (Polyester), PS (Polystyrene), PVC (Polyvinyl), PO (Polyolefin), special safety foils and other foils. Special materials are possible upon request, such as heat-resistant acrylate foils, synthetic papers, and others. Subsequent printability of the adhesive material is possible depending on specifications:
    using direct thermal or thermal transfer printing (TTR), with laser printers or inkjet printers as well as direct lettering using laser.
  • Adhesives/adhesives for adhesive labels:
    The adhesive is selected depending on the application in combination with the upper material. The properties of the adhesives we use range from easily removable to permanent adhesive to extremely strong adhesive. Extreme temperature ranges, special resistance or other requirements can be taken into account.
  • For flexible packaging:
    Paper and other materials of approx. 50µm to approx. 270µm thickness, materials with a heat seal coating of Surlyn, PE or other sealable material such as a bio-coating (bio-degradable), composite materials of paper and aluminium or other material combinations according to specification
  • Finishing:
    As a rule, the labels or flexible packaging are finished to predefined cores of 1 inch (25.4mm) to 6 inches (153mm) on a reel according to customer specifications.
